Resident's Gate Access Information

Access to LOCF is conveniently available using several different methods

1. Request a Gate Access remote using this form
   1. The receiver for the gate remotes is located at the touch-screen gate access panel. Your gate remote should be detectable within a 15+ foot radius of this panel.
   2. The gate remote can be programmed to your vehicle – the same way you would program a garage remote.
   3. The gate remotes issued since 2021 are transmitters (for vehicle gates) and proximity remotes (for pedestrian gates - and pool, if your pool waiver is on record). Touch the proximity remote to the keypad reader to activate.
2. Use the assigned gate access code(s) for your address
   1. The primary code is valid 24/7 – use this for family and close friends
   2. The vendor code is valid from 6AM to 8PM – use this for your frequent vendors
   3. These codes are changed by the gate access administrator when a new resident moves into the address and upon request.
   4. Providing your gate code(s) to anyone reduces the level of security for everyone.
3. Infrequent vendors/visitors and delivery services should use the gate access touch-screen interface to call you by name.
   1. There is a simple name search to narrow down who to call.
   2. Once a name is selected, the system will call the primary phone number registered to that name. The system will wait 20 seconds, and if no answer, it will hang up. If there is a secondary phone number associated with your account, it will then dial this number and wait 20 seconds for an answer.
   3. The phone call will come from 713-955-4271, so please add this number to your phone contacts so you know when the “gate” is calling you.
   4. A 2-way conversation is possible with your guest and if you want to open the gate for them, press 9 on your phone. The call will end at that point and the vehicle entrance gate will open.
4. Community by myQ
   1. This app is available for iPhone or Android and, at this time, only on request, as there are limited licenses available during the evaluation period.
   2. The app has significant functionality including:
      1. Remote video call with your guest before allowing vehicle gate access
      2. 30 days of history for your credentials use, with video for vehicle gate access
      3. Press to unlock/open entrance gates and doors, also voice-enabled (Siri)
      4. Create your own Guest pass(s) for delivery, temporary guests, and long-term/frequent guests
      5. Apple Watch and myQ Garage integration
   3. We expect a form to request a license in the near future and if granted a license, you will receive further instructions.
